About Great Falls, MT - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Great Falls is located in central Montana along the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains. Founded in 1883, the city is home to a population of more than 59,000 residents and is the county seat of Cascade County. The area that is now Great Falls was first visited by American explorer Meriwether Lewis in 1805 when he led the Lewis & Clark Expedition through the newly acquired territory obtained through the Louisiana Purchase of 1803.

Great Falls is the center of commerce and industry for the Great Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city boasts more than 5,000 diversified businesses and is home to Malmstrom Air Force Base, headquarters of the 341st Missile Wing that provides strategic operations support for the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile.

Situated at the confluence of the Missouri and Sun rivers along the northern Rocky Mountain Front, Great Falls is home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in North America. The city’s semi-arid climate makes it a popular destination for year-round sports and recreation. Premier attractions include Glacier National Park, a hiking and backpacking paradise that is home to the largest concentration of glaciers in the lower 48 states; and the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, a 1.5 million-acre expanse of mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, and streams that is one of the world’s most complete ecosystems.

Great Falls is home to world-class cultural and historical attractions, such as the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, the nation’s foremost authority on the 8,000-mile journey of the Lewis & Clark Expedition across western North America, and the C. M. Russell Museum Complex, home to the most comprehensive and complete collection of Charles M. Russell art and memorabilia in the world.

Rivers Edge Trail is a great way to explore the city! The award-winning urban trail extends for more than 60 miles along the banks of the Missouri River through center city, connecting parks, museums, and various points of interest as it takes users on a panoramic journey past cascading waterfalls, rocky bluffs, and scenic overlooks before reaching its terminus at the far-northeastern edge of the city at Giant Springs State Park.

Conveniently situated along Interstate 15 and U.S. Route 87, just 90 miles northeast of Helena and 120 miles south of the Canadian border, Great Falls is a great place to experience the rich history and spectacular beauty of the American West!
